Annual Salary Range: $38,000 – $45,000
The core hours for this position are from 8:00 PM-4:00 PM, but there is flexibility beyond the core hours.

The paralegal will assist DOLIR attorneys as they provide advice to DOLIR departments and represent the agency in administrative hearings, circuit courts, and the Missouri Court of Appeals.
What You Will Do:
Assist 6+ attorneys with schedules and calendarsDistribute assignments and monitor attorney caseloads; maintain spreadsheets of attorney assignmentsSchedule WebEx meetings; organize topics of discussion for weekly team meetingsCoordinate Sunshine Law requestsEnsure that confidential information is safeguarded and that information is shared according to statutes, regulations, and proceduresRegister attorneys for conferences and trainings as needed; make travel arrangementsAssign and monitor fiscal note reviews and attorney research memosPrepare and file legal documentsEnsure organized storage of electronic documents within shared office drivesArchive records and keep track of record retention requirementsHandle incoming and outgoing mailMaintain inventory of office equipmentAssist as needed with legislative bill draftingAssist with troubleshooting technical issues
All You Need For Success:
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree AND 1 year of experience AND a paralegal certificationOR 5 or more years of experience in a legal environment (substitutions may be allowed)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and understanding of the Missouri Sunshine LawStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including ExcelExcellent customer service skillsStrong organization skillsAbility to multi-task, problem-solve, and self-startAbility to manage multiple databases and electronic filesAbility to work in a team environment

Qualifications
5 or more years of experience in a legal environment OR Associate degree AND 1 year of experience AND a paralegal certification
