Associate General Counsel

H&P Executive Search are working with a global multi-strategy investment group in New York City seeking a two further attorneys to join the team that supports investor-facing activities and fund formation for the firm’s multi-asset class and benchmark-relative equities businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collegial and collaborative environment that values inclusiveness, rigorous analysis, and creative problem solving.

The Role:

You’ll work closely with other attorneys, investment professionals, and business development and investor relations teams to develop, market, and launch new investment products and maintain existing ones. This role is expected to include significant exposure to the firm’s communications with current and prospective investors, as well as drafting and negotiation of fund-related documentation and project-based work related to legal, regulatory, and commercial developments.

The Requirements:

• JD from a top US Law school
• 2-10 years legal experience
• Ambitious, high-achievers to match the fast-paced environment and team
• Experience in investment management is a strong plus but not required
• Law practice backgrounds such as: Corporate , M&A, Capital Markets, Investment Funds, Private Equity, Corporate Finance or related fields will be most likely to be a fit
• The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in both commercial and legal aspects of investment management, well-developed analytical abilities, and exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Admittance to any state in good standing.

The expected annual base salary for this position is $200,000 to $250,000.
